Ready to Audition for a Cruise Gig? Here’s What You Need to Know!

Getting invited to audition means we already see something special in you — and now it’s your chance to show us what you’ve got. Our goal is to make this process smooth, supportive, and focused on helping you shine.

Audition Format
Most of our auditions happen remotely via Google Meet (sometimes Zoom or WhatsApp). For HouseBand Musicians, you’ll receive tracks and charts about 20 minutes before your live audition. Why? Because we’re looking at your real-time musicality — your sight-reading, creativity, and improvisation.

Here’s How to Get Set for Success

• Watch for Your Invite
  Your audition starts with an email confirming the date, time, and platform. Once you confirm, it’s go time.

• Choose a Great Space
  Make sure you’re in a quiet, well-lit room with solid acoustics. Avoid noisy or echoey spaces — clear sound is everything.

• Test Your Tech
  Check your camera, microphone, and internet connection ahead of time. We want to hear and see you at your best, so make sure the quality is smooth, clean, and professional.

• Tune Up
  Your instrument should be in top condition, fully tuned, and ready to perform. Treat this like a show — because it kind of is!

During the Audition: Tips to Keep in Mind

Relax. Seriously. We’re not expecting perfection. Just bring your best, stay focused, and enjoy the moment.
Mistakes are okay. One or two flubs won’t break your chances. We’re looking at the whole picture — your feel, attitude, and how you handle pressure.

Warm up beforehand. Be ready to dive in as soon as the charts land in your inbox.
Ask questions. If something’s unclear, just ask. We love working with curious musicians who care about getting it right.
